Yardbirds (2003)
The excuse for this album is the execrable production quality of the original, 35 years ago. But in terms of geriatric rockers squeezing a few more bucks out of faded laurels, this album is a peach. Not only does it bring on excellent picking from the Beckster himself, but features a number of other strummers such as Joe Satriani and Brian May. There's also excellent harpwork by Alan Glen. John Idan does a superb job with the vocals, and I find myself screaming along to this cover of Train Kept A Rollin' as readily as to any other.
