Eric Clapton (1994)

An amazing compendium of blues from the man who probably has had more to do with popularising the genre than any other. It's great when you have a good blues collection (as I appear to have) to compare these performances with the originals, and with some of Eric's covers from early in his career. Hot, rollicking blues and slow, quiet blues. He's not afraid now to let the music stand for itself and make less of an effort at sanitising it for his audience.
