John Shirley (2000)

Book three in the seminal cyberpunk Eclipse series. Churchleader and arch-fascist Crandall is dead but lives on as a simulacrum, allowing the true Second Alliance leaders to operate behind the scenes to dismantle Europe and send all non-Aryan peoples to concentration camps. The SA is officially out of favour in the US following a scandalous revelation, but the New Resistance still finds media attention as hard to win as ever. The Jaegernauts are back, fresh from destroying l'Arc de Triomphe, and the SA (along with the CIA) has targetted 'Hard Eyes' Torrence in particular for extinction.
